Corporations are challenged with transferring knowledge to employees
It's a fact of life today: companies thrive or fail on their ability to manage and share knowledge effectively. Easy access to information makes employees more productive, otherwise they waste time and become discouraged.
The transmission of knowledge requires a well-defined framework
Traditional formal training methods are boring and ineffective; informal methods through interaction between colleagues are tedious, incomplete and non-scalable. The need for efficiency imposes a new specific framework.
The e-learning market has failed to meet expectations
The first generations of learning platforms did not have a significant impact, and even with recent developments, engagement remains low. The result is a loss of efficiency and a sense of frustration among employees. This must change – that's our mission.
Cognitive science is key
A transmission tool must focus on perceptible impact, respond to the specific needs of each individual with personalized content, offer concrete, scenario-based learning, and boost memorization. The recommendations of cognitive science research are the best guide.
The idea for Didask is born
While students at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), Son Ly and Arnaud Riegert set up a tutoring system for high school students run by ENS students. They soon realized that the tutors were not necessarily good teachers. They introduced eLearning tools to help them, but found that without instructional guidance, the tutors were unable to use the technical tools wisely.
First steps
Just after graduating, they set up their first operation. Drawing on research in cognitive science to develop eLearning tools for adult training, they found parallels to their experience with younger students.
The platform takes form
The Didask learning platform project was launched. Its aim was to enable anyone to conduct effective training through digital learning, without needing to be an expert or a pedagogical specialist.
Research and development
Straddling the line between work in professional fields and ENS's cognitive studies department, the team developed new prototypes, which they used to create hundreds of learning modules for their customers, on a multitude of themes.
V1 of our LMS
The first version of our learning platform with an authoring tool became commercially available. It was the first solution available on the market to include instructional guidance, enabling experts to share their skills with ease.
Introduction of Instructional AI
Our exclusive Instructional AI multiplied the power of the learning platform. Based on recommendations of cognitive science research, this ushered in a new era of e-learning. Rapid learner transformation is finally within easy reach of all organizations!
Our Learning Assistant has arrived
We've taken a giant step forward with the arrival of our learning assistant, Didia. Not only does it increase the platform's power tenfold, it also powers a knowledge assistant to boost informal training through access to knowledge from professional tools.
To be continued :)
